@AlexBalexCalexD I think we are on the same page. I was relieved when ICC dared to go agaisnt a sitting Prez like Putin and even more so when it went agaisnt a core Western ally.
But my concern is that it also has structural problems and it won't do us any good to ignore them in the long term

As for the 2nd part, when Putin was indicted internet discourse portrayed it as US-led (which as you mention is far from true). Back then it wasn't controversial to denounce its inner problems
