@context_outside @jan_murray That’s great when started early, but so many people are getting late diagnoses, especially women, so I think more CBT and counselling is needed not just the option of medication. Also, as you know the spectrum means different levels of it for different people.

@context_outside @jan_murray I understand that totally. I actually have ADHD late diagnosed last year and made a lot of sense. I also think accommodations come up to a point where it shouldn’t be used to justify bad behaviour. There has to be concessions on both sides.

@jan_murray @context_outside I’m also going to add in, that they also have Rejection Sensitivity Dysphoria (RSD) so the slightest criticism or perceived criticism can result in a spiral. The, “I’d just like a word” line from a manager can result in panic that they’ve done something wrong.

@jan_murray @context_outside Plus point b, neurodivergent especially ADHD women can’t just forget it down the pub. Even if they are in the right, the conversation will be replayed for hours or days with them feeling shame for not responding in a neurotypical way.
