This has always been one of my favorite stories!

Daniel was a high-ranking official under King Darius of the Persian Empire. Some jealous officials, envious of Daniel’s position and his unwavering faith in God, tricked the king into signing a law that banned anyone from praying to anyone other than the king for thirty days. But Daniel kept praying to God just like he always had.

The conspirators reported him to the king, and Daniel was thrown into the lions’ den according to the law. But even though he was thrown into the den, he came out completely unharmed. God had protected him.

Early the next morning, King Darius rushed to the lions’ den and was overjoyed to find Daniel alive and completely safe. Moved by the miracle, the king ordered the men who had accused Daniel to be thrown into the den, and they were instantly devoured.

This story from the Book of Daniel is one of the most powerful examples of religious and moral strength in the Jewish and Christian tradition.

At its heart, it’s a message about standing firm in your faith, trusting in God’s protection, and having the courage to face adversity. As we enter Shabbat, a time to reflect, stay grounded, and return to ourselves, this message feels especially meaningful.

My hair salon reopened at 7am today!

If you know me, you won’t be surprised that I was outside the doors at 6:59am, holding a takeaway cappuccino with a big smile on my face…

When I saw my stylist, we both couldn’t help but tear up because we missed each other more than we realized!

Sitting in that salon chair felt like coming home, with everyone feeling like family!

I had a quick 20-minute color refresh, then got back home just in time to start homeschooling the kid. But my energy was totally different today because the bounce in my hair gave me a bounce in my step!

It was honestly such a treat to be back!

Maybe it’s just a coincidence, but today I felt like I had done a full yoga session. I was light as a feather 😂

In the midst of a busy work schedule, I often find myself being defined as a "team collaborator" and an "efficient leader." But while pushing projects forward quickly, I've also learned to maintain a sense of humor amidst the pressure.

Yesterday, we held a charity event to support breast cancer patients across the country. There were no tear-jerking videos or award ceremony music. People simply stood there, sharing their stories of getting sick, breaking down, and finding their way back to recovery. ❤️

Charity is not about adding special effects to hope; it’s about making room for reality. Faith has never been about beautiful fantasies; it’s the will to stand firm when facing harshness. Tikkun Olam has never been a halo; it’s a patch, stitched together piece by piece in places that are on the verge of tearing apart.

I often think about why our people are called "the chosen people of God." In the Tanakh, this term has never been synonymous with glory; rather, it’s a reminder, a reminder that we must carry more, remember more, and give more. It’s not about the nobility of identity, but the weight of responsibility. That’s why I believe in the true meaning of charity. I also hope that everyone can receive "what they were meant to have but are losing."

I’m honored to be part of this cause. May every woman fighting breast cancer never be forced to make an unbearably tough choice between surviving and keeping part of her body. May what we do provide them with options, dignity, and space when they truly need it. ❤️
