There is a tipping point when it comes to "staying together for the children." Pay attention to the reality of what they are seeing (learning about relationships) and signs of distress. Get real on the costs/benefits. Perhaps you will be better parents to them apart?
Don't be afraid to reach out to someone who you know is struggling even if it makes you uncomfortable and you don't know what to say. Maybe just knowing you are aware and care can make a difference.
Divorce is inherently hard. The notion of trying to do it amicably and with respect is beautiful but requires both parties to be on board. It can be rough if one is not.

Sometimes we blame our partner for the resentment we feel when we're really angry at ourselves for abandoning our needs.
But resentment has different sources: there's the resentment that comes from being ignored, and there's the resentment that comes from not speaking up. The second kind is harder to face because it means owning our part in our own unhappiness.
