Transforming construction, one green block at a time! Eco Concrete Ltd's (@ecoconcreteUG) pilot study in Rubanda District, Western Uganda, is demonstrating the potential of alternative binders to traditional Portland cements. We're showing that low embodied energy and carbon are relevant across Africa, as embodied energy significantly drives commodity prices in Sub-Saharan Africa. At Eco Concrete Ltd, we're demonstrating the performance of our green cements, mainly LC3 and LPGC binders, by building a cottage and a more sustainable future for the people of Rubanda. Follow us and learn more about our commitment to eco-friendly solutions.

Yesterday, Maama Janet and I visited Makerere University to witness the restoration of the administration building and its reopening. I congratulate the university for successfully restoring this historic structure.
I acted as a tour guide to the new people, showing them where we used to have some historical debates like the debate we had in 1969 in which I participated alongside Professors Mazrui and Kanyeihamba.
