Men simply cannot be considered “high value” if they can’t be trusted.

Trust is a product of consistent honesty.

It’s earned through showing that you’re reliable, can be counted on, and that your word means something to you.

Integrity is an integral part of this (I know that sounds redundant), because it’s not just about being honest when people are looking at you — but also when there’s nobody around to judge you.

Integrity is, as the old C.S. Lewis quote says: Doing what is right even when no one is looking.

When you set that standard and refuse to fall below it, every action you take is one of honor, dignity, and respect.

Not much is more “high value” than that.

Growing up means mourning some of the lives that will never become yours

We don’t just choose one life. We also lose countless lives we could have lived.

There’s the life where you moved abroad. The life where you became an artist. The life where you married someone else. The business you never started. The degree you never pursued.

These imagined lives can remain psychologically powerful because we never had to test them against reality.

In the imagined version, nothing has been lost yet.
You could still become someone else. You could still choose another person. You could still start over.
Reality is more demanding.

Eventually, one possibility becomes your reality, and the others become unrealised.

This is one reason Kierkegaard’s distinction between possibility and actuality matters. Possibility gives us room to imagine ourselves differently, but eventually we have to become someone in particular.

That means maturity is more than simply having more possibilities. It means becoming capable of living with the possibilities we surrendered.
You don’t have to stop imagining other lives. But you may have to stop using those imaginary lives as proof that the life you do have is inadequate.
The road not taken can look perfect precisely because you never had to live its consequences.

You don’t know what that marriage would have become.
You don’t know whether that business would have survived.
You don’t know whether that city would have made you happier.
You know only that you didn’t live that life.

Every real life contains unrealized lives. That isn’t necessarily a defect. It is the price of having an actual one.
And once we accept that, another truth becomes easier to see: a meaningful life isn’t built from extraordinary possibilities alone. It is built from what we repeatedly do with the life we actually have.

The way that we represent the world to ourselves.

The way that we represent ourselves to ourselves.

If you’re always criticizing yourself, doubting yourself, focusing on your shortcomings and insecurities…naturally, you’re going to lack trust in yourself. How could things be any different?

To build trust instead, replace criticism with compassion.

Take a clear look at the things you’re saying to yourself about yourself, and start asking if it’s constructive, or critical.

Think of it this way:

If a friend came to you in the same exact position that you are in, and was asking for your feedback or advice, how would you approach them?

Would you be kind, caring, patient, and attentive?

Or, would you be harsh, insulting, overly critical, and discouraging?

The answer is obvious, yet, it’s not obvious when talking about ourselves.

You’d support your friend in their time of need, so make sure you’re supporting yourself in the same ways.

When his case was first reported, I reached out to him on X via DM trying to find out if he is innocent of the allegations against him
He blocked me immediately
Yesterday, another victim of his came into my DM on WhatsApp to cry for divine intervention.
I am posting this as a warning to all his other potential victims
Block his handle, unfollow him, repost, and expose him
His recent victims said they searched for his name online, and they couldn't find anything suspicious
They fell victim because his other victims had been silent about his evil deeds out of fear
When I searched, I discovered that @adesojiminkhail had posted about some of his antics on 10/5/2022 at 5:55 pm
Since then, he has not been arrested, and he is still doing his evil under the cover of anonymity
Please let us expose him
I have reported him to X officially.
I would like others to please do the same
I have also spoken to lawyers and security operatives
Many of them claim it is Moniepoint that is still one of the few platforms where fraudsters and criminals operate with impunity
I don't want another person to fall victim to him; this is why I am making this post to clear my conscience and perhaps save another innocent person from falling victim to his evil antics.

I have refrained from jumping on any trend or topic circulating among poverty minded Twitter folks for a long time.
The recent “single mother” topic was one of them
It spoke of poverty and lack of exposure to a level I find uncomfortable
I decided to let ignorance have its day in the sun and leave the matter.
The reason I commented on the story of the lady who claimed she repented twice was because I know she regretted her circumstances and not her actions.
If her boyfriend who got her pregnant had the means and the will to stay in her life, she would have stayed with him and even had more children with him
The fact that the man left and she found herself without support was what led to all the repentance and the crying for God to save her, not from sin, but from poverty and the consequences of her actions.
You must always test the gospel you believe against poverty, if it stands, then it is the right gospel
If it fails, it is surely not the right gospel.
Had she been independently rich and successful, she wouldn’t be repenting twice. She would be strategizing her next moves in life and planning ahead for her baby.
There are many single mothers in Europe and America who find solace in a social system that supports them and are able to make something of their life after they had their child.
In Nigeria it is tough.
One of the ways we try to stop the proliferation of poverty is to stop the poor from having sex until they can fend for themselves (this is only sensible), the rich does not think this way.
If the daughter of the rich gets pregnant, he nurtures her until she delivers her child, takes the child as a blessing, gives the child his name and continues supporting his daughter.
I met a family in Italy, the 17 year old daughter of the owner of a winery returned home from school with pregnancy
The parents hugged her and they all talked as if it was normal
The older brother came in, saw her and said “Who is the father of the baby you are carrying?”
The father turned to him and said “That’s a rude question, if she wants us to know she will share it with us, otherwise, we become grandparents and this is good for the family”
I was shocked.
The way the rich reasons is different from the way the poor reasons and the way the rich interprets the gospel is different from the way the poor interprets the gospel.
Most abortions globally are done by the poor, because they will say “I cannot afford to keep the baby”
Note that it is a question of affordability, not an issue of sin or guilt.
Many Christians have daughters who abort babies at least twice before they graduated from the university because a baby outside wedlock is unacceptable.
We would rather make murderers out of our daughters than become grandparents.
Being a single mother has become so stigmatized, that abortion clinics are cashing in daily on the hypocrisy of our “gospel”.
A lady commits abortion and gets ordained a deaconess, another lady births the baby and gets public shame and punishment from the church.
Many of us don’t see anything wrong with this and that means our gospel is not the right one.
We would rather marry someone who had committed abortions than someone who had the courage to give birth to the baby.
We don’t know the gospel.
When people harp on the issue of sin and its consequences all the time, they are poor.
The gospel of sin consciousness is the safeguard we impose on the poor to keep them from enjoying any form of freedom because the consequences of their freedom may be too hard for them to bear.
A girl is dating a poor guy, her mother says “Don’t let him touch you, remember it is a sin.
The same girl meets a rich guy, the mother says “Hope you are doing EVERYTHING to keep him”
The wrong choice is not the sex but who she is having the sex with.
Sex is best to be had within the safety of a marriage, of that truth there is no equal.
Regret is different from repentance
If your gospel affects only the poor, it is sin consciousness

Before all the paid and looking for payday prophets begin to flood the timelines with various prophecies regarding 2027 elections.
Let me be very clear, the best thing you can do for yourself as a Nigerian is to start speaking forth the good concerning your lot in this country.
Many will assume their destiny and good blessings is in the hand of a government or politician and they will be very wrong, especially Believers.
Your destination in destiny is solely dependent on the instructions you give your spirit through your mouth.
I was once a poor Journalist who writes the stories of Nigeria and sit in newsrooms where Nigeria gets cursed daily
The more i did that the poorer i became and the more frustrated.
I left journalism on May 4, 2014.
I joined a church as the PA to a Pastor and as i observed the rich members of the church and their speech pattern, I was shocked.
They all constantly and continuously speak well of Nigeria and bless their portions in the land of the living. I thought they spoke like that because they had money and all the good things of life and I spoke with frustration, anger and bitterness because of my lack and constant poverty.
I continued to talk poor for three years, the libe between the rich and the poor in the church where i worked continued to widen to the point where I was almost begging for bread.
My car, a camry's engine knocked and i couldn't afford to repair it.
Things just continued to get worse.
One day, as i prayed, the Lord said to me "You laid the bed you are lying on with your words. You invited poverty, lack and emptiness into your life because this is what you see and you are moved by what you see.
If you were moved by My Word, you would have taljed your way out of poverty.
I began to talk my way out of poverty from that day.
People laughed at me
The landlady heard me talking in my room one day and sent for me
When i got to her she said "Since gold is yours and silver is yours and all the currency in the whole world are yours, pay the rent you are owing me"
I said "Mama, I was praying but i will pay it soon"
Within three years of talking right, i built my own house and left everything (chairs, electeonics, kitchenware, everything) in that flat for my landlady.
I am not saying you should not support your political choice and bad mouth the one you dont like but to keep saying things are hard or not working just for clout and retweets, you will be shocked at how powerful your words will tabernacle over the light of your life.
I make bold to say that talking right brought me out of poverty
When I wanted to test it further, i began to say the gates of nations of the world has been opened unto me and this has also happened since 2022.
Whenever i needed to change something or move in a new direction, I prompt my future with my own voice spoken with my own mouth.
Before the last election somebody came to me lamenting about how difficult things were for him ubder the last president and he said he is scared if the current one becomes elected things will only become worse.
I told him that unbelievers are allowed to talk the way he talked. A believer is the architect of his own fortune.
This person's business has florished so much under this government that he himself testified to it when we met a few days ago.
If you train yourself to talk right you will think right.
There is a RIVER that makes glad the city of God (Zion). This river is voice prompted by believers in whatever country they are and it waters their farms and vineyards turning their little into so much more.
I have never seen a government that came to power which didnt produce its own set of "the rich" and "the poor".
It is in your mouth to determine how the coming years will work out for you
I happened to Nigeria while Nigeria was happening to so many
At the end of the day, I am making known the faithfulness of God with my own mouth today
Finally, pray for the success of the government of the day
