not sure I get how people who profess to love movies want to spend any energy slagging the people who make them. Every filmmaker I know works their ass off to make something great. When a movie falls short, it's important to remember it happens to the best of us.
@markhughesfilms You seem like you’ve been hurt. Everything okay? A filmmaker creating a piece of art probably gives a lot of themselves to the text of the piece. I’m generally not tweeting at filmmakers at all, let alone that they smell. But I can feel however I want abt a film or its creator.
@philiplord@Glenn__Kenny We don’t know you very well and yet we can still criticize your films if we want to. It never even occurred to me to drag you personally until I saw these tweets.
It takes real courage and humility for a multi-millionaire to suggest that people don't really love movies unless they like all of them and all the people who make them.
To those of you who occasionally text or DM me because you’re worried I might get banned from Twitter or something, I would have replied to Hitler’s tweets too.
