What an awesome collection of @montgomerycoll students participating with the #SPIFFYCloset Some students donated items, some students brought friends to help them with clothing needs, & one student got an awesome pair of Pac-Man pants! This initiative is really growing!

We closed the Mock Court activity by meeting with a sheriff & a support dog. @montgomerycoll students shared questions & smiles learning about the calming functions of a support dog during especially difficult court cases.

The mock court concluded with an account of a real prosecution which largely overlapped with the mock case we enacted. The local prosecutors really went above & beyond creating an experiential learning activity for @montgomerycoll students!

The prosecutors worked diligently to make their case regarding searches & seizures, narcotics, & a hot pursuit situation. Meanwhile, the @montgomerycoll Supreme Court continued to hammer away with questions!

Always an exciting experience when an @montgomerycoll student attorney gets smiles from the local prosecutors during their oral arguments!

There was a significant amount of activity by the @montgomerycoll Supreme Court, but the Student Judge was very active as well. A significant part of this assignment is adjusting legal arguments to courtroom questioning. Look at the prosecutors answering the questions.

The @montgomerycoll Supreme Court also posed questions to the prosecutors in this search & seizure case. Students prepared for the respective roles by studying case briefs & also by listening to actual Supreme Court oral arguments.

Looks like the @montgomerycoll Supreme Court is considering a difficult search & seizure case during a Mock. The student justices both listened & actively questioned the defense presentation in court.

Hey @bradjstewart17 - next time the @montgomerycoll defense team provides a demonstration in mock court for the purposes of proving their client's innocence, why don't you come be part of the activity? The critical thinking & active learning in open court was something to see!

Fall semester is starting to move now - its time for Mock Court! We have a judge, bailiff, defense counsel, & the @montgomerycoll Supreme Court participating in a case involving unreasonable searches & seizures, guns, & methamphetamines. Critical thinking & active learning!!
