When AHS did it, I was amazed b/c it was pretty fringe prior to that. It's dark but interesting from a psych standpoint. Why is the familiar but empty so scary?

@CheeseForEvery1 If you want to treat it like a buffet, that's fair. But then let's be honest about that buffet: in the 70s & 80s, that buffet was great! In the 90s it was still Ok. 2000s, hit or miss. 2015-now, salmonella in almost every dish.
