Everyone associated with Holte has been saddened recently to hear of the death of our former Headteacher Pat Walters who led the school from 2001-2015. She had a huge impact on the lives of many young people and helped build the successful careers of many staff at the school.

#INVESTIGATION | We’ve arrested two people after a man was stabbed to death in Birmingham.

Paramedics called us to Hunters Road in Hockley just after 8pm yesterday, but the 41-year-old man died at the scene despite their efforts.

It is understood that up to 7 men have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder. This was as a result of gun shots being fired in Hockley Close, Lozells yesterday afternoon.
According to @WMPolice this is an apparent targeted attack. More to follow soon.

In 1908, Colonel James and Hepezebah Ward came to Burnaby and opened a post office. Hepezebah named it Lozells because when she lived in Birmingham, England, she attended a church in a neighbourhood called Lozells.
