Wout van Aert has dreamed of winning Paris-Roubaix for his entire career and now, at the age of 31, the Belgian superstar has finally added one of the sport’s biggest prizes to his palmares.
To do so, Van Aert had to both match Tadej Pogacar’s pace in the final 50 kilometres, and then outsprint the world champion in Roubaix velodrome.
One of the sport’s most iconic races served up one of its most enjoyable editions, and one of its most emotional finishes.
