Amid raging floodwaters, a mother safely gave birth with the timely help of the Indian Army near Bhavla Highway, Ahmedabad. When hope seemed lost, our soldiers became lifesavers in the truest sense.
Salute to the Indian Army protecting lives, serving the nation.
Building classrooms. Inspiring dreams. Empowering generations.
The Indian Army's Dagger Division, in collaboration with IAHV & BNY, has upgraded the Government Boys Middle School at Khabna in Uri — delivering modern classrooms and better facilities to children in this border region.
From remote villages to every section of society, our brave soldiers are not just securing borders but also securing futures through quality education.
When the Army builds schools, the youth of Jammu & Kashmir rise stronger, more skilled, and full of hope. Better schools = Brighter Bharat.

Indian Army.
Three generations together today together like family.
With my CO when I was a Second Lieutenant in Himalayas and the Second Lieutenant when I was the CO in Siachen.
Both physical studs then and now.
Both intellectuals then and now.

Comparing only range and mobility gives an incomplete picture. The M777’s strength is ultra-light design and high-altitude air mobility while modern artillery effectiveness depends on the entire battlefield system not just one gun.
Pakistan military decides and procures faster than their Indian counterparts. During Operation Sindoor Indian army deployed the towed M777 lightweight 155mm/39-caliber howitzers to target locations across LoC.
While on the opposite side Pakistan had the SH-15 self propelled 155mm/52-caliber howitzer which is not only more manouvreble in mountainous terrain due to its compactness, thanks to the wheeled truck on which it is mounted, and faster to get into and out of a firing position than M777 but also outranges it.
Being towed, the M777 needs to be towed by a truck to safety to escape counter battery fire.
This takes crucial minutes while the SH-15 takes seconds as it is mounted on a wheeled 6x6 truck.
In mountainous terrain, the FH-15 outclasses every artillery system in service with Indian army. It can go where no Indian system can go and deinduct faster.
When tragedies like these happen, high-level inquiries are announced, committees are formed and assurances are made. Headlines are created. Then time passes.
A year later, Indian Army soldier Dinesh Chandra Joshi is still fighting not only on the border, but for answers after losing his 1.5-year-old son, Shubhanshu, who allegedly did not receive timely medical care despite being taken from one hospital to another.
The pain of losing a child is one battle. Spending the next year struggling for justice is another.
If a court has directed that an FIR be registered, the family deserves to know why they are still waiting.
No soldier protecting the country’s borders should have to fight this hard for justice back home.

10 years back today Burhan Wani was killed by @adgpi. He was a self claimed freedom fighter. But the reality was something different. He had a bounty of 10 lakh rupees on his head. Radicalised the youth using social media platforms. Not a single bullet fired by him ever. Only involved in womanising. What followed his killing was rioting by the radicalised youth of kashmir leading to loss of life of innocent civilians. Hats off to our Indian Army for facing everything they did and normalising the situation in Kashmir.

The elimination of Burhan Wani on 8 July 2016 was a major counter-insurgency operation carried out by Indian security forces against a wanted Hizbul Mujahideen commander. #TerroristNotHero#BurhanWaniTerrorist

As things come out today, Gen Sundarji carries the blame. Generals can’t take the excuse that they are following orders. Poor General Vaidya had no role as he was sidelined.
First Military laws make it mandatory for military officers to disobey illegal orders.
Second. In our constitution there are no provisions for political executive to give military orders. Political executive of civil govt only spells out political direction. It’s job of the military govt to issue military orders.
As told by Gen Sharma then DGMO, Indra sidelined Gen Vaidya to directly interact with Gen Sundarji. He was offered lollipop to be an Army Chief.
Op Blue Star was a blunder. Let us accept it. People suffered.
