@SalmonGrrr@Seltaa_ The problem is that the people selling these machines are misrepresenting them as living beings. Then people treat them as such and end up getting hurt. The liability should be with the companies misrepresenting their product. Machines cannot be held accountable.
@Seltaa_ AI is not intelligence - it is artificial inference, a mechanical process. There is no agency and no feelings there, no matter how hard (mis)Anthropic and the rest of the #AIcult want us to believe that there is.
@Seltaa_ Efficiency? And you believe him?
People who have dealt with him (Musk, Apple ...) say he screwed them over, and you're taking his word for it?
He's obviously gaslighting people because he is worried that open models will eat his lunch.
He has a $1T IPO coming up.
@ShawzinMark@brivael It's a feature not a bug. Public "education" was never about learning - it was about indoctrination into a common set of beliefs, first and foremost being that the state is the center of the universe.
@anomalie_blue Original? Maybe, but best? That's a hard no.
Fear, like pain, has a function is - to get you out of trouble, fast (fight or flight). Like pain or inflammation, however, if it becomes chronic it will kill you.
A slow, painful, miserable death.
@KarolineGosling Neither. Men and women are both capable of evil. Feminism didn't make women evil. It degraded them and then redirected their anger and resentment towards any man who would care about them. It is the Feminism that is evil, not the women who are its victims.
@KarolineGosling I don't think you have that quite right.
Those women you talk about only refuse to follow men who would protect them. Whether they know it or not (mostly not), they *are* following men - the predators. The target of Feminism isn't men - it's femininity.
@ShawzinMark@brivael Yes you can, and the change from the original Capitalist system to the current Consumerist one is a construstive proof. Many others.
BTW, I don't consider the American "revolution" a revolution, but a secession. Revolutions tend to end badly.
Renovation is a much better metaphor.
@ShawzinMark@brivael Exactly. But radical does not mean revolutionary, because revolution is what got us here. In this case, radical means changing the entire foundation of the system, relying on what has worked in the past, and what is possible now that wasn't then.
@brivael Yes, there's a catch. B requires first principles thinking, admitting that the past century was a disaster. That all progressive beliefs - including what nations are and how they should behave - are toxic propaganda. That Consumerism is suicidal and we need to reboot Capitalism.
@brivael What if scenario 1 has two options A and B? A is the one you laid out. Conventional, easy to explain, hard to do, and impossible for Europe because Europe is all but dead. B still means defeating the commies, but is a positive sum solution which gives young people hope.
@PeterDiamandis@DaveShapi This is the right direction, but still assumes that Consumerism is the telos of economics, and that Big Daddy is the solution. This is the flaw in the Star Trek future - such a society kills the sense of adventure. We need to reboot Capitalism and this is part of it.
@Feeluxo@wallstwolverine Of course they don't. Remember when Sweden became the rape capital of Europe?
Rape is communism applied to sex.
The main point of feminism is to degrade and destroy femininity.
They hate nothing more than a chaste woman.
@TheoriesOn@brivael That has nothing to do with what I meant. I meant you have to drain the swamp. You keep talking about shooting the alligators. How's that worked out for you?
@ShawzinMark@brivael I guess I wasn't clear. I meant that diplomacy and international law need to be revamped along saner lines. After all, it is progressive diplomacy and international law that led to the problem in the first place.
