Uganda’s director of public health, Dr. Daniel Kyabayinze, says this is “a war” and supplies need to be replenished.
While Uganda’s top health officials are optimistic the country has stopped a surge in Ebola — with no new cases reported in the past 11 days — cases in the Democratic Republic of the Congo to the west have surged to nearly 800 confirmed cases.
Dr. Kyabayinze tells CBS News foreign correspondent @ramyinocencio that supplies of the chemical compounds — known as testing reagents — needed to identify the Bundibugyo strain of Ebola are running particularly low.

Our interns are thriving! It’s great to see.
We’d like to take on more
When we have more resources.
Yesterday, UWA received a fleet of road construction and maintenance equipment under the IFPA-CD World Bank Project to strengthen infrastructure and improve access across Uganda’s protected areas.
The equipment includes 3 motor graders, 4 excavators, and 4 tractors with accessories, which will be deployed to key conservation areas including Bwindi, Kibale, Queen Elizabeth, and Kabwoya.
The machinery will support road and track maintenance, habitat management, invasive species control, dam construction for wildlife water access during dry seasons, and improved visitor experiences in our national parks.

Employees are quietly using AI to crush repetitive data tasks and design event flyers in minutes, gaining their time back.
But it’s "privately effective"; they aren’t telling managers. Leadership must bring AI out of the shadows to truly transform workplace productivity

🚨 Frank Gashumba has been replaced as PLU Vice Chair in sweeping changes announced by PLU Chairman and Chief of Defence Forces, Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba. Gashumba was removed as Vice Chair for Buganda and replaced by former Attorney General Kiryowa Kiwanuka.
Speaking about the changes on Monday on Radio 4, Gashumba expressed relief, stating that during his time in office he felt burdened by the organisation’s responsibilities.
Happy to see one of our own, Andrew Kabuura, representing Uganda on SuperSport’s 2026 FIFA World Cup coverage team, featuring with stars like John Terry. Congratulations!
The National Vice Chairperson of PLU, Mr.Michael Nuwagira, is hereby instructed to organise the handover/takeover ceremony of the position of General Secretary of PLU as soon as possible. From Hon.Kabanda to Hon.Fadil. All PLU Ministers and Members of Parliament must attend.
I am a trained creative. I registered Commercial Industrial Art and Design at Nkumba in 1994. In all I do, I think of audience types and how to make their viewing time a worthwhile experience! This is why I like @nbstv where we have space to create and innovate. We are very disruptive and that is down to the team leader @KKariisa .
Employers please make room in your work places for employees to enjoy working with and for you!
