Mr. Salcedo, as I have previously stated, I am the VA state executive director. I would not expect you to be well versed in every aspect of every state. I admitted no such thing. Again, for a gentleman with such grandiloquence, I did not expect to have to correct you, but here we are. Our organization is anything but ignorant. To encourage and fan the flames of party infighting the way you appear to do so, is what will cause real damage in a state that has the potential to swing completely blue. With upcoming elections, personally, I would consider this to be a very foolish approach.

Here is what the liberals are saying! Big money donors, and the Republican caucus are propping up Cook whose voting record should just have a big D next to it. Why should we compromise what we stand for? Why would we support Cook who never supported conservative values that are faith and family and that’s what our mission is? Cook voted to impeach Paxton. Cook even went to the Democrats for votes prior to knowing he had the caucus behind him. So if we’re gonna compare why Support Cook? We will stand by the one who is more conservative. I’ve made many statements on the recent attacks against LUCA - Latinos United For Conservative Action on our conservative position in the heated Texas Speaker Race but below is from our Founder/CEO/Chairman @LUCAfounder

As a lifelong Conservative Republican and a Latino, I see @Burrows4TX as the only logical choice for Speaker since he actually cares about what our needs are. He brings conservative values rather than shoving the North Texas Republican agenda down our throats. This was never about Dustin not being conservative, they all know he is easily the most conservative choice for Speaker. This is the Republican Caucus hissy fit over the Paxton impeachment, and they are willing to compromise an entire state to get revenge and many of us see it for what it is. I’ve known Dustin for many years and he has always been conservative, his opponent can’t say the same. Haters are now bashing me and @LucaLatinos because of our commitment to conservative values which I have always fought for. My commitment to this is unquestioned by anybody who actually knows me. We had several members from North Texas leave LUCA because at that time LUCA was remaining neutral, a position I took because I did not want to impose our position on North Texas because they were so adamantly against Dustin. I would have to be an idiot (even if Dustin wasn’t the clearly logical most conservative choice) to oppose my own representative and all but guarantee that West Texas, Lubbock, Texas Tech and the agricultural sector would be silenced if Cook was elected Speaker. What I see now is a group of individuals who are zealots for Paxton, shoving their agenda down our throats completely ignoring the best interests of our state as a whole and expecting everyone to be okay with it. Sounds very Obama-esque. These are Pelosi and Schumer tactics brought across party lines and to the state level and just because Republicans are doing it doesn’t make it right. Their actions and blatant attacks on myself and LUCA have inspired me and our LUCA President Melinda Ann to take a stand and endorse in this Speakers race and we have made the only logical choice, we strongly endorse and support Dustin Burrows for Texas Speaker of the House. Those who wish to attack me for this, attack me all you want, I was built for this stuff. Attack LUCA all you want, we as a group are bold and unafraid and we also have the intestinal fortitude for this, but don’t expect me to engage any further in your petty political temper tantrum, it’s not worth my energy. I stand firm with my friend and fellow Patriot who has championed every legislative effort that LUCA has placed before him. Dustin is not only the best choice for Lubbock, for Texas Tech and for West Texas, and LUCA, but based on the fact that the last session was the most conservative session in the history of this great state, and he was a major reason why, I am going with Chairman Dustin Burrows the legislator who delivers action over his opponent, the politician, making promises that he has yet to show he is even in support of accomplishing based on his inactions. I don’t care how many former members, zealots or caucus members cry about our decision either, they are wrong and I will never rubber stamp spite over logic. You know when many people in other states decide to join LUCA, they share with me that even though they are Republicans, they are happy that we have Conservative in our name and not the word Republican. Many of them have issues with the Republican Party in their respective states and as the people, we do the work ourselves without them. **Official Public Statement on LUCA’s Position on TX House Speaker Race**
On behalf of Chairman Antonio Renteria, @LUCAfounder and myself, we are issuing a public statement regarding LUCA's position on the Texas House Speaker race.

Following discussions within our private Texas LUCA chat groups, which include members from across the state, there were demands and requests to endorse a specific candidate. These requests were made by some members and our former State Director without prior consultation with the President or a broader discussion within LUCA's leadership on our position regarding this issue. This action bypassed established procedures for endorsements and led to division within the organization.

Due to the diverse opinions on this issue, the Board Members decided to stay neutral and requested that discussions about the Speaker race be kept off our chat groups. We encourage individual members to support their preferred candidate, but not in a way that represents LUCA as a whole. This approach aims to avoid internal conflict on a divisive issue that LUCA members nor any Texan citizens, other than our elected Representatives will have a direct vote on.

We want to make it clear that LUCA has not endorsed any candidate for Speaker of the House, and any statements to the contrary are false.

Exciting News from our LUCA @LucaLatinos Florida Team in Broward County! They lead many get out the vote events, campaign policy fundraising and campaign managers that broke record turn out of GOP at 82% participation in Broward. This means 82% of all GOP registered voters voted! Given this resounding turn out thanks to their efforts, and NOT the traditional GOP local party, they were given the go-ahead to start a new GOP charter in Broward!!! They filled the paperwork and will get right to work! Our Great Director will be a founding member and LUCA will be their first partnership! They have a chance to become the leading Republican Party of Broward to be named Sunrise Republican Club and are drafting a blueprint on how to turn Broward Red!
