House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries slammed President Donald Trump over his plans to visit Madison Square Garden for Game 3 of the #NBAFinals on Monday night, saying the prez always has to “ruin a good thing.”
Why the fk is Trump going to the Knick game?
New Yorkers hate him!
No one wants to see him!
He always has to fk up everything!
Ignore his ass! Enjoy the game tonight despite that vile clown being present.
Remember that it’s about the Knicks, not him. Fk him!
Hakeem Jeffries: "Why does Donald Trump always have to ruin a good thing? The Knicks haven't been in the NBA Finals for 27 years, the city is trying to celebrate this, we've embraced this team, and this guy has to inject himself."
Pres. Trump, talking with reporters on AF1, takes four straight questions on the Knicks (happy Friday), including what his message is to everyday Americans who can't afford tickets to the NBA finals.
"Watch it on television," he says. "That's the way life goes for some."
President Trump, a native New Yorker and self-described Knicks fan, is planning to attend Game 3 of the NBA Finals in New York City on June 8, according to sources familiar with the plans.
The president has said he was invited to attend a Knicks playoff game by the team's owner, James Dolan, who has also donated to Mr. Trump's political campaigns.
The game, between the New York Knicks and San Antonio Spurs, may also have Mayor Zohran Mamdani in attendance, according to reports. Mamdani has said he will not be sitting with Mr. Trump — but "in a very different section of the stadium."
