Agents with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) shot and killed an unarmed 37-year-old man today in Minneapolis, Minnesota, following a struggle as several agents attempted to confront and arrest the at-the-time armed-unidentified man who had been filming them. During the struggle, one of the five agents involved can be seen removing a firearm from the waistband of the victim before several others shoot him, killing him. In response to the shooting, protests are beginning to escalate and spread across Minneapolis.

#matrice

#Save_Kobani: No to Violence, Yes to Peace
As the world urges all armed factions in #Syria to cease the escalation and engage in dialogue, the Kurdish city of #Kobani is facing a new attack by the Turkish backed factions of the Syrian National Army (#SNA).
Kobani, which became a symbol of resistance against #ISIS and sacrificed hundreds of lives in its battle against the terrorist group, is now facing new violence that threatens the security of its Kurdish residents, as well as the lives of the minorities living there, including #Yazidis and #Christians.
This attack is part of a series of ongoing assaults on #Northeastern_Syria, where Kurds, Arabs, and religious and ethnic minorities live together, in harmony. The region is also home to over a million Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs), including more than 100,000 displaced people in recent days from al-Shahba areas and #Tall_Rifaat in #Northern_Aleppo, who are receiving no humanitarian aid.
Two days ago, these factions launched an attack on the city of #Manbij, a city that has long been a place of coexistence for Kurds and Arabs. The attack resulted in dozens of casualties, including civilians, and led to the factions seizing control of the city, amidst severe human rights violations, particularly against Kurds.
In this critical moment, UN Special Envoy to Syria, Geir Pedersen, stressed the need to respect International Humanitarian Law (IHL) and protect civilians, emphasising that dialogue and national unity are essential for rebuilding Syrian society.
However, our question remains: Who will stop this violence? How can the vision for a new #Syria be realized while bombing, fear, and displacement continue to be imposed on its people? The Syria we dream of cannot be built on the ruins of forced displacement and assaults, and no group or minority should live under the constant threat of fear or #forced_displacement.
A Call for Peace:
▪️To the international community: You must take action to stop this violence and end the violations and crimes against civilians.
▪️To all Syrian factions: Stop the bloodshed and move toward dialogue that restores confidence and rebuilds the nation.
▪️To all who stand for justice: Be the voices of peace, and do not allow this injustice to continue.
#Kobani, #Manbij, and all Syrian cities deserve to live in #peace! Let’s stop this violence now and build a just and safe Syria for everyone!
Fast moving developments in northern #Aleppo (btw #Manbij & #Kobani) & Deir ez Zour, as the #SDF's position in #Syria is becoming increasingly vulnerable.
The US must make clear to #Turkey that #Kobani is a red line. If not, a U.S. withdrawal is on the cards.
The White Helmets have announced the deployment of 5 Emergency Teams specializing in Search-and-Rescue, Wall-Breaching, and Iron Door-Opening as well as Trained Dog Units and Medical Responders to Sednaya Military Prison near the Syrian Capital of Damascus. As those there are still struggling to reach the Lower Levels of the Red Building, where upwards of 10,000 Prisoners are still believed to be trapped in Underground Cells, some of which are claimed to be over 100ft from the Surface. Rescuers at the Site can see the Prisoners on Security Cameras, but cannot reach them; with many of them likely having no clue about the Revolution or the ongoing Rescue Attempts.
Tens of thousands of Syrians disappeared into Assad’s network of brutal prisons. After his downfall, families are finally hoping for news of their loved ones. https://t.co/xQN3oudeHF
Insane Footage from last night’s Liberation by Rebel Forces of Sednaya Military Prison also known as the “Human Slaughterhouse” to the North of Damascus, with Thousands of Inmates being released including Women and Children. Some of the Prisoners can be seen with clear Mental Issues following their Confinement, with some claiming they were only days away from Execution. In the “Red Wing” of the Prison, which is 3-Stories Underground and was mainly used for Assad’s Political Prisoners, Rebels discovered Massive Torture Chambers alongside Piles of Bones and Bodies.
