Today is a great day for me. I sold my first app to an influencer. So basically, someone with a big audience can just buy your app to sell to their public. I see this app space now in the same way people flip houses. Digital real estate, I would say. Not the multimillion exit everyone dreams of, but five figures that will give me more confidence in my capacity.
How to get Tiktok US account and views without dealing with account bans, account creation issues, etc. And no US phone number even needed.
My main issue was I couldn’t even make an account when using a VPN. So here's how to solve it:
1. Create an account with your daily phone. Put your phone number so TikTok is sure that it is credible account. Any phone number is OK.
2. Move to your marketing phone. Here, you need to connect with a VPN (I use HMA connected to the US).
3. Log in with the account you created in (1), using the phone number.
4. Here’s the trick: connect any email to the account. Once it’s connected, remove the phone number so the account is no longer linked to it. The account will remain valid with just the email..
5. Post your video while connected to the VPN.
I tried it with several accounts, and the success rate was 100%.
Don’t share this post because if it gets too many views, maybe they’ll do something about it. lol
👨🏽🌾 tiktok farming lesson #11
“an, i’m not getting traction. i think my account is shadowbanned”
after 50m+ views, here’s the exact diagnostic framework i use 👇🏽
<300 views → shadowban
if you're consistently seeing less than 300 views over 6 posts or more, do an account health diagnosis. recommend warmup post 2 (check my highlights).
300-800 views → hook failure
your first 5s suck. don’t touch anything else until you fix this. rework angle, visual, text, sound - everything.
800–2K views → content quality issue
the hook worked, but your story didn’t. people clicked, but they didn’t stay. focus on storytelling + deliver more value.
2K–10K views → engagement problem
you made good content, but it didn’t spark emotion/engagement. test formats that are funny, relatable, or novel. people share what aligns with who they are - or who they want to be.
10K+ views → gold
you found the formula. double down, replicate fast, keep the style and just tweak details. spark the post.
if you’re stuck at <800 views → it’s the hook. full stop.
don’t waste time on CTAs. don’t stress about product presentation.
fix. the. hook.
retention curves will tell you everything. if the line flattens, you’ve nailed it. use the VSC framework to find your initial inspiration (in comments 👇🏽)
user acquisition timeline:
1️⃣ stop the scroll
2️⃣ get them to watch long enough to know the video is about your app
3️⃣ intrigue with value, novelty, relatability, or strong emotions
4️⃣ make content so good they rush to comments
5️⃣ they see people talking about your app
6️⃣ they search app store
7️⃣ they install
lesson learnt the hard way, sharing so you don’t have to 🫡
How I made my app's mascot, step by step:
1. Choose the identity first.
Personality before art direction, otherwise the design has nothing to anchor to.
2. Generate the base look with ChatGPT's image model, i used Sol 5.6.
Fastest way to iterate concepts and lock a direction before spending real time on it.
3. Animate it with Seedance 2.5.
Cheap way to test movement and personality before committing to a full rig.
4. (Better) Vectorize it in Rive.
Crisp at any size, lightweight, and actually animatable in-app, not just a looping video.
In parallel, I asked designers for quotes. Just the mascot alone came back expensive.
This whole pipeline got me pro-grade assets for as low as $690.
Nobody downloads an app because they saw an app
They download it because they saw a moment they recognized
