@JuuzouHanma_TTV Hey teach, u were right, maybe death doesn’t sound so bad after-all so I don’t have to see these dogshit lunatic takes from an Elo-terrorist
I was excited for ranked 3.0, not because I expected any change in gameplay but because I was hopeful that people would finally see this is a meta related issue rather than a matchmaking/player issue.
In the past if you did not set up site or communicate, you lost and you wouldn't hit top rank, simple as that. Sure, comms and site setup can still benefit you today, but it is by no means necessary to hit top rank anymore.
I'd argue with decent aim it's easier to rely on headshots and unpredictable behavior than strategy and tactics. It's the simplest approach to winning so naturally this is the route most players take, and they shouldn't be blamed for it!
Three long years I've gone against the grain and been advocating for a 2x headshot multiplier to address this core issue. The current headshot multiplier is 50x and grossly outdated.
Old Siege had poor visibility, camouflauging uniforms, recoil misalignment and a whole laundry list of features that kept the 50x headshot multiplier in check. These features had their own problems and were removed for good reason, but they also forced players to slow down and rely on information and strategy. Not only that but the 50x headshot multiplier enhanced the overall Siege experience by complimenting those who held angles and had better information, further encouraging what I consider real Siege.
Little by little these aspects of Siege were altered or outright removed (and again for good reason) to the point where you can now comfortably rely on clicking heads to solve all your problems.
I get 1shs is satisfying and fun, I too loved it for the first 7 years of Siege, but it by no means should ever hold precedent over the very core of what makes Siege Siege.
We've received reports of crashes occurring on PC when attempting to launch the game. Our investigation has found that this issue is related to the latest Windows Preview updates.
As a temporary workaround, we recommend uninstalling the following updates:
- KB5124010 (Build 26200.9550)
- KB5121794
We’ll share further updates as more information becomes available.
