I am sorry but I don’t believe this. We have 2 readings every day and 3 on Sunday. We explicitly connect the prophecy and testimony of the Old Testament to the New Testament, the writings of the apostles, and the gospel itself:
There is never a mass where we do not read the Bible. And it all follows the liturgical calendar from the birth at advent to the crucifixion and resurrection at Easter.
This is literally baked into the pie, with a 3 year cycle of teachings.
I grew up evangelical. I have learned more about Jesus in the time since I became Catholic than I learned in the 17 years I spent as a captive audience in an evangelical church.
So either your wife attended a Catholic church that was outside the liturgical norm and out of sync with the actual Church…or you are misinterpreting something.
I try not to get involved in the “online Troubles” of Catholic versus Protestant, but blatant misrepresentation is awful to me.
And I was a fan of yours so it’s doubly sad to see.

@RWMaloneMD@AaronSiriSG There should be. Walgreens keeps calling me to enquire why I won’t take me statins. My insurance company too. The doctor told me their compensation is dinged if I won’t take them. The doctor is no longer in charge of your health. The insurance company is.
