Editors and YouTubers: kids are not as dumb as you think.
A lot of creators try to explain things that are already obvious, or add elements that belong in overly childish content.
Yes, things should be clear and easy to follow. That’s true.
But you don’t need to OVER-explain.
Viewers just get annoyed when they’re treated like idiots, and they stop watching.
The highest-performing videos I’ve worked on were edited in a way that people of any age could watch them without feeling cringe.
Most editors think that "faster video" means trimming every shot by 30%
But that is wrong, it makes their editing feel like constant visual noise
The trick isn’t speed, think of it as groups. Cut out entire scenes, don't just speed everything up.
