“What qualifies DiZoglio as a leader in the Bay State is not only the office she holds but also her willingness to confront issues that many would prefer remain hidden.” #mapoli

“With this proposed bill & under the guise of transparency, your state reps are not only throwing the 72% voter-mandated law in the dumpster - they’re taking a match & lighting that dumpster on fire, violating the People’s constitutional rights & undermining democracy.” #mapoli
The House of Representatives just voted against following the audit law. Speaker @RonMariano and Henchman @staterepmike Moran looked out on their, not your, reps with pride today as they decided to defy the will of the voters they represent to ensure these two guys can continue to hide whatever it is they do with your taxpayer dollars. #mapoli Meanwhile the @MassAGO has expressed zero desire to enforce the law. #mapoli
Another Massachusetts town on the brink over… you guessed it… higher taxes. Neighbors fighting, signs disappearing, people worried they’ll be priced out of their own homes. This isn’t just South Hadley, it’s a warning sign for what happens when costs keep rising and leadership shrugs. At what point do we admit this isn’t sustainable?

Madam President made headlines this week when she called me a “headline hunter”. A little less obsession with hating me & a bit more concern for following the law would result in fewer bothersome headlines, I imagine…But what do I know about the Senate, Madam President? #mapoli
It’s a fair question -- does @MassGovernor support my office’s motion to access the courts on behalf of the 72%, or does the Governor support the motion by @MassAGO to attempt to block us on behalf of the Senate President and Speaker @RonMariano? #mapoli https://t.co/137ICBYSjh
Here's Why Your Energy Bills are SKYROCKETING https://t.co/ImbRsWAylW via @YouTube
Excellent explanation of why our utility bills are so high, and about to go higher.
@islantstudio@413DPT@massgop Maybe show the connection between one party rule and the negative consequences it brings. Cities and towns are getting slaughtered with higher RE taxes and overrides because local aid has been lacking even though Beacon Hill is bringing in billions.
Alright this is so obvious yet absolutely no one seems to be talking about it but we have a major problem in Massachusetts when it comes to overrides. The state gives back only 26% of local revenue to cities and towns, while the national average is 32%. That six-point gap equals millions if not billions of dollars that never make it home, and remember that's money that should be funding schools, fixing roads, and keeping local services running.
Because Beacon Hill keeps so much of the revenue (and blows most of it), towns are left to fend for themselves and the proof is in the override numbers. A few years ago, Massachusetts averaged about 22 overrides a year. Then it jumped to 35, and now we’re seeing more than 50 override votes across the state, that's a 130% increase in less than a decade. And remember, these aren’t in Boston or Cambridge to build a new library or rec center. They’re small towns with two Dunkin’s, one post office, and budgets held together with duct tape.
Meanwhile, we rank 7th in the nation for property taxes but 39th in how much the state supports its municipalities. We have extremely high taxes, low aid, and if you've been paying attention at all these towns are desperate.
It’s time for a ballot initiative that ties municipal aid to state revenue growth so cities and towns get their fair share of what their residents ALREADY pay in. We have a priorities problem here and I feel like this will put a massive spotlight on what's happening here in the 'commonwealth'. We here in Massachusetts don't need higher taxes, we needs fairer returns and a system where overrides aren’t a way of life and a system where we prioritize our OWN people. While I might have missed the official filing deadline for this election cycle, I want to start this conversation NOW because the problem isn’t going away, and neither should we. If you're interested please let me know.
