“How much more are we going to tolerate”
EVERYBODY needs to hear this
To every Roman Catholic sending me links and news clips about Protestants “coming home to Rome”, let me say this plainly.
The surge of people turning to Roman Catholicism is not a sign of truth. It is a sign of what the human heart craves when it grows tired of the simplicity of the gospel. “For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but wanting to have their ears tickled, they will accumulate for themselves teachers in accordance with their own desires” (2 Timothy 4:3).
They are not abandoning the gospel because it failed them. They are abandoning it because it never belonged to them in the first place. “They went out from us, but they were not of us, for if they had been of us, they would have continued with us” (1 John 2:19).
Rome offers exactly what human pride wants... a way to contribute. A system that feeds the flesh with rituals, sacraments, and hierarchy. It gives man a role to play in his own salvation. And that is what fallen man loves. Because grace alone offends the proud heart. It crushes ego. It leaves no room for boasting. And Rome says, “Come, light a candle, say a rosary, take the mass, venerate a saint, and earn your place.”
But Scripture says the opposite. “It is finished” (John 19:30). “We have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all” (Hebrews 10:10). “By grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves. It is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast” (Ephesians 2:8–9).
God is not impressed by robes and incense. He is not moved by cathedrals or chants. He is not drawn to long prayers or Latin liturgies. He looks for one thing, faith in the finished work of His Son.
Rome gives you religion. Christ gives you righteousness.
Rome gives you tradition. Christ gives you truth.
Rome gives you priests. Christ gave Himself.
Let Rome boast in her numbers. Let her point to her age and rituals. But truth is not found in crowds. In Noah’s day, only eight were saved. In Elijah’s time, only seven thousand had not bowed to Baal. And today, the gate is still narrow, and the way is still hard, and only a few find it (Matthew 7:13–14).
The appeal of Rome is not about theology. It is about pride. Man wants to be involved in his own rescue. But the cross does not flatter pride. It crushes it. The gospel is not about what you do for God. It is about what God did for you. And He does not need your help.
Many are abandoning both Roman Catholicism and Protestantism to embrace Islam or Hinduism. But does that make those religions true? Of course not. Then why should Rome’s growing numbers be seen as proof of truth? The reality is this apostasy is not evidence of spiritual maturity. It is the fruit of hearts that were never truly rooted in the gospel. Man in his fallen nature will always gravitate toward what satisfies his pride. He longs for a religion that allows him to contribute, to achieve, to boast. That is why he turns to systems, not because they are true, but because they flatter the flesh.
Christ does not share glory.
You are either saved by Christ alone or you are not saved at all.
There is no middle ground. No second altar. No co-mediators. No second offering.
Rome gives you religion to feel good about yourself.
Christ gives you a cross that kills the old self.
One saves. The other enslaves.
Let that sink in.
@CoffinMedia Fasting as in denying yourself all foods or just meat? Can still smash donuts but oh no don’t eat that meat. Make it make sense for me please.
In recent weeks noticeably more bishops are kissing the Fisherman’s Ring when greeting Pope Leo XIV, than when contrasted to meeting Pope Francis who famously disliked the custom.
One such example is below, from the end of today’s General Audience
How do you glorify the Lord with your body?
By being health and fit so you can be as useful as possible for His purposes.
Being unhealthy by choice does not glorify Him.
Neither is being fit to glorify yourself (something I struggle with).
Demons believe in God too. There's a difference.
“If you love Me, you will keep My commandments. - John 14:15
"If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love; just as I have kept My Father’s commandments and abide in His love." - John 15:10
““Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven.” - Matthew 7:21
The Evolution of Roman Catholic Dogmas vs. the Unchanging Word of God - A Thread 🧵
The Roman Church claims to be the Church—built on Peter, sustained by apostolic succession, and entrusted with infallible truth. But history tells a different story.
What we see is not continuity with Christ and His apostles—but corruption, contradiction, and creeping inventions.
Let’s walk through it—doctrine by doctrine—and test Rome’s claims by the infallible standard of God’s Word.
