Super exciting stuff. To crown it all a 'Durotrigian Eve' !
We are all going to have to think about our understanding of IA society.
It would be really helpful if Welsh bones could stop dissolving in our acidic souls.

Highly commended:
🔸 Pendinas Hillfort Community Archaeology Project
🔸 Diving into the Digital Archives of the ‘Earl of Abergavenny’
The 'path of querns' was amongst my favourite finds from Porth y Rhaw.
Like many archaeologists it's the quiet personal finds which give a glimpse into people's lives rather than the glittering objects that I find most special.
Our amazing community-led archaeology project #digpendinas has been shortlisted for the engagement and participation project of the year at the archaeological achievement awards!!!!
Keep your fingers crossed! This one was a real cracker to be a part of!
The Engagement and Participation #ArchaeologicalAchievementAward, sponsored by @UAUK_Matters, celebrates projects creating high-quality public participation opportunities and innovative ways to engage in archaeology. 🤝
Congratulations to all who made the shortlist!
#HillfortsWednesday Warm September sunshine a year ago during @DyfedArch excavations of a rock-cut house terrace in the south fort, Pendinas, Aberystwyth
The building was originally held up with huge timber posts.
& look at those views from the front door! 🥰

I have been slow to the internet to mark the passing of Tim Darvill, a close friend, mentor, and colleague. A real titan of prehistory, I have had the privilege of working closely with Tim since my teenage years
No one has had a greater impact on my understanding of the past.
