@ghostnerd31337@farmingandJesus Dude, I had a similar experience. A coworker convinced me to try it. So when I got home from work I tried one. Then I tried another out of disbelief. I ate so many I made myself sick. Then recently, I convinced my son to try it. He screamed from the kitchen, “why is this good?!”
@farmingandJesus I don’t care for a lot of the things Frank posts. But I also understand what he’s asking. If the question were, what would you do if your pastor had sin then the argument would be that everyone has sin. I think moral failing and unrepentant sin kinda say the same thing. Imo
@DrFrankTurek Church discipline as outlined in the Bible. They have to be removed from the pulpit. Depending on the severity they might be able to be restored to the pulpit but that shouldn’t be the goal.
Cherry picking verses but missing the context of what Paul is saying. Keep reading.
Ask yourself this question. Is Paul contradicting himself when he says later in the same letter to the Romans “5 So too at the present time there is a remnant, chosen by grace. 6 But if it is by grace, it is no longer on the basis of works; otherwise grace would no longer be grace.” (Romans 11:5–6, ESV)
Or in Ephesians when he says “8 For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, 9 not a result of works, so that no one may boast.” (Ephesians 2:8–9, ESV)
I got rid of it years ago when I left the charismania. The other things, including some Bible studies, are just as bad as TPT. I did however buy individual books of TPT when Brian released them 1 at a time and now they sit in my kindle library to remind me of what a depraved and ignorant heathen I was.
I think you’ve missed the point. The song itself could be theologically sound. But the question is whether or not the song(s) in question promote heretical teaching of the church or song writer. I would argue that this is a discipleship issue within the local church. However, the music being produced and commercialized by these churches often promotes the churches that are connected to the song writers. You have to ask yourself if you’re willing to put the body in which you serve if you’re willing to put the people at risk which may discover and be deceived by the heretical teachings of those churches. You also have to ask yourself if it’s the best use of church funds to financially support these song writers and churches.
@furious4hope@MikeWingerii Typical response. “Who cares if it has serious issues. It’s produced positive results.” I guess you could argue that Judas did nothing wrong because his behavior also produced positive results too, huh?
@that1gurl2025@JustinPetersMin I honestly couldn’t tell you who he’s aligned with. He seems to fly under his own banner but he definitely associates with other self proclaimed prophets and apostles.
@that1gurl2025@JustinPetersMin No. But he told everyone to give me $1.00 because they’d give a bad waitress at Denny’s at least that. So I guess I’m the equivalent to a bad waitress at Denny’s. Oh. And then he had me yell at people.
