#ibelieveinbookfairies made our day finding this at Southerndown this morning, we sat in the secret garden in the sunshine and read the first chapter together ๐โ๏ธ
December 21st. Winter solstice. The darkest day of the year.
Every day of the fall has been getting darker towards today.
But tomorrow?
It starts getting lighter. In tiny tiny increments. But light is coming. It doesn't get any darker than today.
Light is coming.
Jackโs compassion and empathy are God given gifts that are a blessing from his struggles. I am so grateful for who he is and the story of healing, faithfulness and protection he now has to share ๐๐ผ๐๐๐ผ and we are still believing for more!
Reflecting on Jackโs allergy journey tonight. Heโs had a bumpy few weeks and has felt the weight of being โdifferentโ and missing out on things. But because of that weโve also had a few weeks of pushing ourselves out of our comfort zone and doing a lot of โfirstsโ โฆ
Yesterday we were chatting about God making Jack and โwhyโ he has allergies. We talked about how He has already taken away 3 big allergies for Jack and then Jack went quiet and a bit teary. He said he felt sad for all the children who have more and worse allergies than him ๐ญ๐
I received this email yesterday from Jโs school. I am SO delighted!! This is huge for him and others with food allergies. He is going to have his first school dinner on his birthday in a few weeks, he canโt wait. This will be his 1st sit down meal out of the house heโs ever had..
โฆthis felt hugely significant as we spoke about the impact these labels have and how it feels like manufacturers covering theirs backs rather than genuine concern for allergy sufferers.
Change has come and change is coming!
A very real reminder of Romans 8v28 ๐โฆ
