paid claude opus 5.5 vs free chatgpt vs free gemini. same prompt: a low-poly 3d city going from sunrise to night
chatgpt and gemini answered in under 2 min. opus thought for almost 6 💀
gemini's camera got stuck inside a building lol
was paying worth it?
@RevakaFX easy: copy the prompt from my reply above into chatgpt, claude or gemini, save the code it gives you as city.html and open it in chrome. that's it

the prompt (short version):
single-file html + three.js. sleek low-poly roadster in a night city. every 15 sec it speeds down a street, rear thrusters ignite, it flies between the buildings, does a barrel roll and lands. chase camera. one shot, no follow-ups
tesla showed a flying roadster yesterday, so i asked 3 ais to build one in a single prompt
opus 5.5 (paid): took 5.5 min, actually flies it
chatgpt (free): code crashed 💀
gemini (free): done in under a min, but you can barely see the car
which one would you drive
the prompt (short version):
single-file html + three.js, low-poly 3d city. full day cycle in 30 sec (sunrise, noon, sunset, night), cars driving, street lights and windows turn on at night, camera slowly orbits. one shot, no follow-ups
new account. every week i'll run the newest ai models on the same prompt and post the results side by side, no hype
first test drops next week. what should i make them build?
@BradGroux@OpenAI “Removing friction” is the whole game. Most people don’t quit AI tools because they’re bad, they quit because the 3 extra clicks add up. What was the biggest friction you cut?
@NousResearch@nvidia@Windows@linusgsebastian Picking your agent during Windows setup is a big shift. The default AI on a new laptop used to be whatever came preinstalled. Now it’s a choice.
@Pirat_Nation MCP is quietly becoming the USB port of AI. Every app adding a server means agents can finally do things instead of just talking about them. Curious why it’s on by default though.
@poteto@bot Point 1 is underrated. Agents copy whatever patterns already exist, so a messy codebase just gets messier faster. Clean architecture is now an AI multiplier.
@adocomplete This is such a quality-of-life fix. Coming back to a long session and waiting for a full re-cache was the worst part of stepping away for lunch.
