I am on the job market - Very happy to give a talk at the UIUC SysNet seminar!
Had an amazing discussion that reinforced my belief: Code generation is maturing; beyond it, the bigger challenge is to manage running systems reliably and efficiently. 🚀
After six wonderful years at UIUC @siebelschool, I’m thrilled to announce that I will join the University of Toronto ECE @eceuoft as an assistant professor in July 2026. I’m actively looking for PhD students in fall 2026. Drop me an email if you are interested in working with me.
@CNviolations Obviously, the pickup truck is at fault. The semi has the right of the way and it does not bear the responsibility to let the pickup truck in. Also the semi is very heavy and difficult to slow down so it may not be able to do so when it notices the truck.
@josh_uglyasf This is not as useful as it appears. Given the electric price is so cheap nowadays, the energy produced by these piles is negligible compared to the price of manufacturing and installing these piles. And they can easily get malfunctioned.
Very frustrated with the reviews from @issta_conf. Highly suspect most of the review from Reviewer A was generated by LLM - high-level comments on writing style, etc. Also, "It adequately uses the English language and conforms with the guidelines.." from Reviwer B.
SHAME on this speaker to play such a despicable trick to humiliate Chinese scholars in this community. I am certain that if the misconduct student was from SOME other race she would never dare to mention that.
1/3 Today, an anecdote shared by an invited speaker at #NeurIPS2024 left many Chinese scholars, myself included, feeling uncomfortable. As a community, I believe we should take a moment to reflect on why such remarks in public discourse can be offensive and harmful.
