In preparation for the upcoming release of Portal, SQD's decentralized, streaming-based data retrieval solution, the 'cooldown' period for worker bonds and delegations has been extended to one week, up from twenty minutes.

How this decision was made:

1. Network stability for real SQD users: Now, real dApps will be migrating to the decentralized network. This change ensures greater predictability in terms of data replication across nodes.

2. Community feedback: Since mainnet launch, the SQD community has been nearly unanimous in requesting that some cooldown period be implemented.

3. Enhanced network curation: This update helps to ensure only more serious, long-term, worker nodes receive the bulk of delegations.
