This quote is from Martin Luther’s Small Catechism. It’s the explanation to the 2nd article of the Apostles Creed. When I was in college, a professor quoted it in class. I was so impressed by the words that I went home and committed them to memory. They remain, in my opinion, one of the clearest confessions of Christ ever written.
Today as we marched to Parliament to lay flowers at the site where Kenyan Youth were shot dead, police violently dispersed us a few metres from the precincts of Parliament.
I pulled Rex Masai's mother, who was marching next to me into my vehicle as other mothers and victims found refuge in the few cars on site.
We drove away as police men pursued us.
We were guilty of one thing: peaceful demonstration and picketing as allowed by our Constitution in remembrance of these young heroes.
As a people, we shall not relent until we deliver justice and accountability for the victims.
#Ukombozi is nigh!
"When the citizens of a Nation deem their most accomplished thieves as the most electable then they lose the right to complain when theft becomes their national creed." ~ Modibo Keita. Pan-Africanist leader and first President of Mali. (1915-1977)
We are called by God when we still have his number blocked, when we are dead in our sins, by nature children of wrath, without a spark of godliness in us. The impetus for the Spirit calling us to faith in Christ by the Gospel lies entirely within himself. He doesn't look for the "right kind of people to believe." Therefore, when we believe, all glory goes to him for calling us, granting us repentance, giving us faith, and keeping us as his own. He gives, we receive.
This is 'Omar' – who once thought he was the only Christian in Morocco. It's a belief felt by many Christians in the country, such is the challenges that following Jesus can bring.
Like many Christians in North Africa, Omar first encountered Jesus through the internet. Initially, he kept his new faith secret from his family, but when it was discovered, he was kicked out of home.
Today, Omar has a YouTube channel, bringing together his skills as a videographer and his passion for the gospel. He also meets with seekers, often in coffee shops. In one encounter, he was talking to someone who said that his mother and sister also wanted to become Christians. He went to their home and all three gave their lives to Jesus!
“I was a shy and fearful boy,” he says. “Now God has given me big courage to talk about Jesus. Through what I do, I glorify His name. I feel His love when I talk about Him.”
Morocco is 23rd on the World Watch List. They play Scotland tonight in the World Cup – making it a perfect opportunity to pray as they play for believers like Omar.

Today in the @Senate_KE, I will substantiate how public money is being hidden and stolen in plain sight through budget lines labelled “Other Operating Expenses.” OVER 90 BILLION!
If salaries, utilities, travel, maintenance, fuel, training, procurable items, and other expenditures already have specific vote heads, what exactly is hidden under this vague and ever-expanding category?
Even more troubling, the Constitution requires parliamentary approval for all public borrowing. Yet billions are spent under opaque budget lines that escape meaningful scrutiny.
Kenyans deserve transparency, not blank cheques for wastage, mismanagement, and theft. Every shilling collected from taxpayers must be traceable, justified, and accounted for.
The era of hiding public funds behind vague budget descriptions must come to an end. STAY TUNED
Today, the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) will play their first World Cup match since the 1970s! What a moment it will be as they take on Portugal. #FWC26
For many Christians in the DRC, they will watch on in the shadow of violent persecution. Recent years have seen Christian communities devastated by religious extremist attacks, with believers killed, kidnapped and displaced, and churches destroyed. Please take this opportunity to pray as they play.
And if you've yet to, could you also add your voice to the Arise Africa petition? Please also keep sharing with your family, friends and church, and help us reach one million signatures for our family in sub-Saharan Africa.

Kenya loses an estimated 3 billion shillings daily to corruption. Driven by reckless borrowing, public debt has surged to nearly 13 trillion shillings, crippling private enterprise and consuming 48% of the FY 2026/27 budget for repayments.
By securitizing future tax revenues, the regime is unconstitutionally mortgaging the future of Kenyan youth. We must halt this economic exploitation and restore financial accountability.
#stateofthenation @UGMParty
Tomorrow, we come together as Kenyans to reflect on the dire state of our Nation and chart the path to take to redeem our country from state capture, youth unemployment and the cost of living.
We look forward to seeing you at Ufungamano House at 9 in the morning #Ukombozi
Tunisia is the next World Watch List country in action in the World Cup, playing at the rather unsociable hour of 3am! #FWC26
If you happen to be up, or simply interested in what happens, please use this card to pray as they play. Every prayer matters, helping those counting the cost of following Jesus.

"May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit." (Romans 15:13) #VerseOfTheDay
Tomorrow has its own weight — don’t carry it today.
You haven’t been given tomorrow’s grace yet. Just today’s. And it’s enough.
New trouble will come. But so will new mercy from God. So breathe. Trust. And take your Savior at his word.

I was arrested this morning together with fellow patriotic Kenyans during our procession to present a petition to the Kenya Wildlife Services against the excision of part of the Nairobi National Park to construct a 1300-car parking lot.
Our national heritage and environment must be safeguarded from greed and unnecessary destruction without public participation.
Kenyans deserve justice that is transparent, reasoned, and accountable.
Today, I have petitioned the Judicial Service Commission @jsckenya to investigate three Court of Appeal judges who suspended High Court orders blocking the Kenya-US Health Cooperation Framework, but withheld their reasons for doing so until October 2026.
My concern is not that they ruled against me. It is that an immediately enforceable decision was issued without reasons, effectively frustrating a timely appeal to the @THE_SCOK and denying Kenyans meaningful access to justice.
Judicial independence must be protected. But independence and accountability must go hand in hand. No institution is above the Constitution.

Your prayers are urgently needed for Century New City Church in Yunnan province, #China.
On 12 April, the church was raided by the police and three believers detained, including Pastor Yu Shaolin (his arrest notice pictured). The authorities have since formally charged the three arrested with organising illegal gatherings.
Century New City Church is a small congregation of around 30 Christians, beset with illness and suffering. For them, the church is a refuge. Now, they await in uncertainty for what might happen next. Pastor Yu's own health is fragile and getting worse whilst in prison, as well as his wife's.
Since the raid, the church has released an open letter calling for prayer and is also seeking legal aid.
"'Organising illegal gatherings’ is a charge frequently used by the authorities against unregistered house churches in China, creating fear and pressure among Christians," says 'Caleb', Open Doors partner in the region. "The ongoing crackdown on house church gatherings has not spared even small and vulnerable Christian communities like Century New City Church. It really needs our prayer.”
Please pray for Pastor Yu, the two other believers in prison and the rest of the church – that the Lord would comfort, guide and protect them in their time of need.
This afternoon at 2:00 PM, I will address the country on a petition I have filed before the Judicial Service Commission seeking the removal of three Court of Appeal judges.
The issues at stake go to the heart of justice, accountability, and fidelity to our Constitution.
