Yesterday, a German activist has disrupted the Kompass Kongress, a political event to inform about the problems with the proposed new treaty between Switzerland and the European Union.
Co-host Freddy Gantner gave the anonymous activist a minute to make his point, which mostly consisted of personal attacks. The far left consistently fails to understand that entrepreneurs like Gantner typically do more good and are more idealistic than the left's functionaries.

@MarkOnSocialnet You can find the official stream here. It is not Tadzio Müller. To me he looks rather unexperienced. He could have used the time for a real conversion, but failed.

A glimpse of reason in Swiss politics: both responsible commissions want to subject the participation treaty with the EU to a "big" vote that requires a double-majority of both the people and the cantons.
Want more babies?
Pay men more.
A recent 2025 Danish study "Fertility and Family Labor Supply" by Jakobsen, Jørgensen, and Low, indicates that higher female income correlates with lower fertility, while increased male income boosts fertility. Using longitudinal register data, it shows that higher women's wages raise the opportunity cost of time, leading to fewer children

The Swiss government wants a deeper integration with the European Union. But instead of embedding ourselves in mediocrity, Switzerland should aspire to stand out and to set an example for how Europe can do better.
There has been a big debate over whether Europeans are really poorer than Americans, and whether Europe is really falling behind.
Unfortunately, the pro-Europe side is wrong.

Non-sense. The European Commission calls the package "EU-Switzerland agreement on Switzerland’s participation in Union programmes". See link below. I know you did not coin the term. It was coined by those who lobby for these agreements in an attempt to mislead the voters about the true nature of the treaty. And anyone using the term is complicit.

As you say: it is similar to joining a large consortium. It is an agreement for Switzerland to participate in the internal market of the European Union. That's why the EU commission calls it a participation agreement and not a "bilateral" agreement. The word "bilateral" implies symmetry when there is, as you correctly state, asymmetry. I feel like you are very close to understanding why "bilateral" is not a good term to describe this agreement.
@Alexpalzy@BR_Sprecher Please tell me what obligations in this agreement are reciprocal? We have to accept EU law, not the other way around. We have to pay the EU, not the other way around. We can get sued if we do not implement EU law, but not the other way around. Where is the reciprocity?
