Our beloved Mama @JanetMuseveni, today we celebrate you, a woman of deep faith, grace, and tireless intercession for our nation. Your prayers and quiet strength have stood in the gap for Uganda time and again, lifting our people before the Lord.
As it is written in Ezekiel 22:30: “I looked for someone among them who would build up the wall and stand before me in the gap on behalf of the land…”
Thank you for being that faithful watch woman and mother of the nation. May the Lord continue to renew your strength, surround you with His peace, and bless you with good health, abundant joy and many more fruitful years.
Happy birthday 🙏

Today, the 24th of June is Maama’s birthday having arrived on Earth on this very day 78 years ago. The family and myself thank God for having given us Maama, kept her safe in the years of orphanhood having lost her Father, Mzee Edward Kataaha, in 1955 and prospering her in the subsequent years up to today.
In Particular, I thank God for the miraculous re-connection with her on Christmas day, 1972, outside the Inter-Continental Hotel in Nairobi. Although we were from the same area of Ntungamo and had studied at Kyamate together in 1958, we had got disconnected by the troubled history of Uganda.
Since January, 1971, we had been operating from Tanzania fighting Idi Amin. I had, indeed, been involved in the disastrous battle of the 17th of September, 1972 in Mbarara where out of 330 People that attacked on that axis, on account of not being trained, by evening I had managed to take back only 46 including an Obote fighter known as Ageta, a good but chaotic fighter.
UPDF does not fear ANY army on this earth! For our God goes before us...and destroys the armies of our enemies! So that All the world will know that there is a God in Uganda! The battle belongs to our God! And He will always deliver our enemies into our hands!
Our engineers will advise me. If it means buildings must relocate. They will relocate. But we cannot be on the two lanes the British built in 1958 in 2026. Hakuna!
Happy birthday Maama Janet. I thank her for teaching me and my sisters the art of fighting. I have never seen a better fighter than her. Happy birthday Mummy.
