Ruto is not just one person. Ruto is a system.

Aisha Jumwa is part of that system. Millicent Omanga is part of that system. When we took to the streets in 2024, they stood with those who oppressed us, not with the people.

That is why I cannot, in good conscience, associate myself with them. When we say "WANTAM," we mean more than changing one individual,we mean draining the swamp. The people who helped create and sustain the problems cannot suddenly become the face of the solution.

Whether they shout "WANTAM" or "TUTAM" makes no difference to me. Their record speaks louder than their slogans.

I also urge young people to be careful about the movements they join. If a movement embraces the very people who stood against citizens during our struggle, then we must ask ourselves whether it truly represents change.

Just as a small amount of urine can contaminate an entire tank of clean water, a few individuals who embody the old system can compromise the integrity of an entire movement.

Ruto just spent 40 minutes trying to create a false equivalence between our national values set out in the constitution and his so called “development”. Kenyans, please trust me when i tell you there is a reason the Preamble comes before Article 43. You don’t get to the “development “ clauses until and unless you have taken into account the reasons we passed this constitution in the first place.
