@LizyLowe I've had similar experiences, except that I have been fortunate to work with an amazing group of people who I feel like I can be fun and informal with (when not in client meetings haha)! It's a different feeling to academia but I think it depends on the culture of the workplace

@newmarrk @umsbe @obvionhypotheek I feel the same way about me and academia! I think I always knew it wasn't the right fit for me but everyone else seemed to be succeeding and I guess I felt like I needed to prove (to myself?) that I should be able to succeed too! Thanks for sharing

And offering flexible working is important. In a recent survey of over 1000 Victorians, people reported experiencing less sexism and sexual harassment when WFH.

1 in 5 still did, however, and more witnessed it happening to someone else.
