I was taught as a young boy that you had to speak in tongues to be saved. I remember kneeling at the altar at church night after night and crying out to God to give me the gift of tongues. At home I would lie in bed at night in the darkness and ask God if he wanted me to go to hell. This went on for years. I can’t explain the toll this stress had on my young soul.

Bad theology not only has the potential to be a form of emotional and spiritual torture but can also drive people away from the very God that loves them.

Biblical Christianity was fearless. 🙌

Today's Christianity is afraid of its own shadow.

The prophets stood before kings and said, "Thus saith the Lord."

They didn't ask permission!

They didn't soften His Word to keep their place.

Elijah mocked the prophets of Baal to their faces!

John the Baptist called the religious leaders a generation of vipers.

The apostles were beaten, and they rejoiced that they were counted worthy to suffer for His name.

God has not given us the spirit of fear, but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. 2 Timothy 1:7

Look at the church now. 😂

Soft timid voices.

Careful words, trying not to offend.

Sin is named as a struggle.

Judgment is treated as unkind.

The pulpit begs the world for approval and calls it wisdom and being inclusive.

That is not the faith once delivered to the saints.

That is a different religion wearing a Christian mask!

Jesus said the world will hate you if you belong to Him. John 15:19

If the world loves your version of the faith, it is not His.

The fearful will have their part in the lake that burns with fire and brimstone. Revelation 21:8

That is not my word!

That is God's word!

Repent of timid religion.

Stop flattering sinners.

Stop hiding the cross behind polite talk.

Preach Christ crucified.

Call men to turn from their sin or perish.

The gate is narrow. The way is hard. Few find it. Matthew 7:14

Fear God, not man.

Open your mouth.

Stand up!

The time is short.
