Michael Proctor decided to have a mental health crisis after the whole world found out how racist he is. Sources tell us he checked himself into a mental health facility in Florida to try to avoid today's deposition. They filed a motion at the last minute on Friday to delay the depo, but the Judge wanted proof. They submitted an affidavit that was impounded because it likely said Proctor was in a mental hospital. Karen Read's lawyer made the mistake of saying the scheduling of the deposition was strategic, which the judge took issue with based on her comments on the Today Show. He stayed the depo for 24 hours and at 4:15 a hearing will be held. My guess is he's gonna tell Proctor to jump on a plane and stop being such a pussy so Alan can depose him tomorrow.
While prosecutors, who should know the law, and others who attended the private meeting with the DA where no other members of the potential jury pool were invited, the focus on the body cam footage seems to dominate the discussion. The truth is It does not boil down to just that footage in use of force cases. I renew my call for people to read my OP-ED explaining how it works in a way that the Supreme Court dictates and how it protects the constitutional rights of Officer O'Malley...something never even mentioned by the DA publicly or likely in the DA's private meetings with people who could be called as jurors.

In light of today’s horrifying text message revelations, I am calling for Norfolk County District Attorney Michael Morrisey to resign effective immediately. Racism, bigotry, misogyny, and antisemitism have absolutely no place in the Massachusetts State Police and the Norfolk County District Attorney’s Office. They are appalling and shocking and, under my leadership, will never be tolerated.

According to Sen. Michael Barrett, letting ratepayers see how much they’re paying for Mass Save created an “unintended consequence.”
The unintended consequence is that people found out what it costs and how little they’re getting out of it.
This issue isn’t being politicized. Voters and ratepayers are waking up to the reality that they’re paying hundreds of dollars in fees for a program many never use. Now they’re demanding accountability. Read more here: https://t.co/0FJI2x6pcy
