This is a new low. I honestly don't even know if it's worth keeping our Etsy shop open at this point. At this time last year, we were SLAMMED with orders. Christmas shopping season was the only reason the shop has stayed open as long as it has. The fact that we are down 70% from last year is genuinely worrying to me. I kept saying I would close it after Xmas, because we couldn't afford to lose that extra income, but if the sales aren't there, there's no point. We would typically hire extra help around this time of the year, but this year, there is no point.

Take it from someone who has been very successful on that platform, don't do it. Start your own website, focus your energy there instead of giving %20 of your income to a platform run by robots that don't give a shit about you or your business. Between the copyright trolls, the AI slop, bullshit temu drop shipping, Etsy is FAR from what it was 6-10 years ago. That ship has sunk, so stay away from the whirlpool or you get sucked down with it.

Refunds for non-delivery are picking up now it’s getting busy 🙄 @RoyalMail, you don’t make it easy for business users to claim. I end up writing it off unless I was to set aside 2 hours a week just for claims. Anyone else dealing with this?
