A25: My biggest takeaway from this class is as teachers, we must create a safe classroom for our students so that the students can help lead the classroom and that all students are able to succeed. #TATedison

A22: Being that I teach mostly juniors and seniors, I have students discuss what they want to go to college for and discuss and encourage future careers. You never know how a student can choose a career in the future and change the world. #TATedison
A21: Being a math teacher, I do not really bring world news into the class on a regular basis. If I read an article or watch a news clip on something that relates to math, I will post it for the students on Classroom. #tatedison
A19: I have done projects in Calculus after finishing derivatives. The S's had to choose one topic with derivatives that was their favorite. The S's then created a project to present. S's made posters, songs, scrapbbooks, cake, games,video games and movies.#tatedison
A18: I encourage students to use different tools to study and reinforce what we do in class. Different options are study groups, quizlet, quizzziz, videos online about the math topics we are doing. #tatedison
A17: Giving up control to S's and letting them take ownership in the learning process will lead to more creativity. S's will be more interested in the outcome of projects and assignments. #tatedison

A15: Students can create 3-D drawings using GeoGebra. The example below shows a pyramid. With Calculus, you can use integration to find volumes of shapes. #tatedison
A12: Students could choose a topic in math that interests them, research the history behind it and how it is useful in real-world situations. Maybe this would help students see a relevance to learning math. #TATedison
