Urgent police appeal to find missing 15-year-old schoolgirl Katie-Lou Berry

Katie-Lou, 15, was last seen at around 6:10pm on Friday 8 May near the Botanic Gardens in Southport.

She is white, 5ft 6in tall, slim build, with very long brown hair and a nose piercing. She speaks with a Bolton accent.

She was wearing a pink vest top, black leggings, black fur jacket and white Nike Air Max trainers.

Katie-Lou often visits Southport, Bootle, Liverpool and the Farnworth area of Bolton.

Anyone who sees her is asked to call 999 immediately.

David, 68, is missing from Newcastle with serious concerns for his welfare. He was last seen at 3.20pm today 13/03 on Forth Banks walking up the hill in the direction of the Centre For Life.
David is described as a 5ft 6in tall, of medium build, with short hair. He also wears glasses. He is believed to be wearing a blue puffer jacket, green trousers, and a green hat as seen in the picture. He is also carrying a white backpack with yellow straps which has bumblebees on (pictured right).

#APPEAL | Yesterday, James Bulger's grave was vandalised at #Kirkdale Cemetery.

👉 At around 4.20pm, we received a report that damage had been caused to two large marble angels on either side of the headstone, a smaller angel had been put in a nearby bin and a yellow teddy had been stolen.

It’s believed that the incident would have taken place at some point between 9am and 3pm.

Officers attended the scene and offered support to the family. Initial enquiries were carried out, which included a search of the area, and we continue to explore any CCTV and witness opportunities.

Local Policing Inspector Chris Taylor said 🗣️ “We are taking this matter extremely seriously and remain determined to find the person or people responsible.

“To vandalise a grave is completely abhorrent and it’s truly shocking to think that someone could commit such an appalling act. Officers attended the scene when the incident was first reported and we are supporting the family during our enquiries.

“If you were in the area and saw anything suspicious or have any information about what happened, please get in touch as a matter of urgency. We believe the vandalism was caused at some point between 9am and around 3pm so if you know anything, come forward.”
