Saw #Theodyssey at IMAX. It was epic. Loved it. Samantha Morton is by far the best actor in the whole 3 hour movie. None of them were bad. But she is off the planet talented.
A husband. A paramedic. A football executive. Men from their 20s to their 70s. Ordinary men with ordinary lives, a NETWORK of men conspiring together to drug and rape a woman.
And people still ask why women are wary of men they don’t know?! https://t.co/r7xBbxFMqO
@hugorifkind I’ve noticed it on radio Scotland. And it’s more pronounced which obvs I like. But your accent is impacted by your environment. Have you heard Scots who live abroad. It’s clearly a beautiful worldwide diaspora.
A democratically elected British Prime Minister has been driven from office by a relentless campaign of propaganda and misinformation; funded, amplified and perpetuated by foreign billionaires and elites whose interests bear zero resemblance to those of ordinary working people.
A noble gesture from an emotional Keir Starmer, entirely consistent with his conduct in office.
A truly sad day for British democracy.
His full resignation speech:
I’m a fan of him. AB. I’m way to the left of the party and in an election it might be a good outcome. But all they’ve done is opened the door for the extremists. It was a bad move and AB isn’t ready for this job. I hope I’m wrong.
Starmer is resigning because he became unreasonably hated - partly because of too many self-inflicted mistakes and partly because social media+Farage +the wider right have created a loathing and hatred culture. Burnham is right to seek time to prepare. The same forces await him.
Congratulations to Andy Burnham on a stunning victory and a powerful message of hope. A stark message to Farage. Polarising hate and ‘white rage’ will not take you to Downing Street. Equally given the opportunity the British would even reverse Brexit. Enough of your poison.
A new Scottish tartan memorializing the (mainly) female victims of the Witchcraft Act has been officially registered, created by Claire Mitchell and Zoe Venditozzi, founders of the Witches of Scotland campaign #WomensArt
