56 Hwy is closed at Road S5. Due to an Injury Accident.Local traffic westbound is diverted south to Road 330 west to Hwy 99 and north to 56. Eastbound is diverted south on Hwy 99 to 330 to road U and North to Hwy 56. NO Semi or Heavy Vehicles on Detour Route.

Fire crews arrived around 7:10 am and began battling the blaze. The main fire was declared out by 7:55 am with hotspots still being taken care of. The Sheriff's Office fire investigators are working with crews on scene.

*Update* - Deputies were dispatched to the Southern Star transmission plant at 6:58 am. The first deputy arrived around 7:07 am and observed flames in one of the buildings.

Around 7 am Fire crews and deputies responded to 2143 Road E for a structure fire. This is a Southern Star transmission plant. Active fire in the building is currently out. More information will be released later.
