It REPEALS section 651.004 of the Texas Government code, which mandates a rigid 1-to-11 manager-to-employee ratio across ALL state agencies.

No wonder the BUREAUCRACY runs SO DEEP! It's time to empower our state agencies by optimizing their workforce.

This code is unnecessary, and it's time to remove the BLOAT!

Today I filed HB 3657 which imposes a mandatory 30-day placement in disciplinary alternative education program (DAEP) if a student engages in assault or harassment of a school district employee.

Too many good educators are leaving the profession they love because of the out of control behavior of too many students who have learned that there are no consequences for their behavior under the current system. THIS HAS TO STOP!! #txlege

@HicklandHillary @MrsLAinsworth It isn't only the tool. It's the way all schools go into lockdown mode, like prisons during lengthy STAAR weeks. It's having to hire all of the extra subs for hall monitors and extra classroom monitors, etc.
