Our purpose of the City of Tampa Mayor's African American Advisory Council is to serve as a liaison between Tampa's Mayor and various governmental agencies.

Hidden Figures of Tampa: Did you know Tokley is the 1st official poet laureate for both the city of Tampa and Hillsborough Cty. In 1996, Mayor Dick Greco named Tokley Poet Laureate of the city, and in 2013, the County Commission named him Hillsborough's Official Poet Laureate.
