I've spent years helping Democrats run winning campaigns.
Now I'm running for Texas Democratic Party Chair—because Texas Democrats are ready to move forward, build a stronger Party, and start winning again.
This International Running Day, I wanted to take a minute to tell you why I'm running—and how you can help.
#InternationalRunningDay
Last night I was joined by supporters and curious delegates from all across the state to officially kickoff my campaign for Texas Democratic Party Chair.
We heard from political professionals and activists, like @cmclymer, and the state house representative from my family’s home district of Hays County, Rep @ErinForYall. Throughout the years, each and every one of these individuals and I have experienced historic wins, heartbreaking losses, and most importantly, we’ve formed the greatest of friendships.
We talked about rebuilding trust through transparency and accountability. I answered questions about the financial challenges facing our Party and the need for honest conversations about where we are and where we're going.
We even got a cameo from my Mom. Watch here: https://t.co/VyZgoZllTa
no candidate is immune from criticism or exempt from scrutiny due to the importance of their race. you can expect more from and pressure them to be better, and still cast a vote for them. and that seemed to be the prevailing ethos until the problematic candidates became leftists
At a moment when Texas Democrats have a once-in-a-generation opportunity to flip House seats, why are we talking about which Republican should be Speaker?
The only way to stop a Republican Speaker is to elect more Democrats.
Texans deserve a Party laser-focused on winning power –– not managing without it. That's why I'm running.
New: Texas Democratic Party Chair Kendall Scudder backed a proposal calling on his party's lawmakers to abandon GOP House Speaker Dustin Burrows.
Burrows relied on Democratic votes to win the speakership last year. #txlege

Eid Mubarak to all who are celebrating across North Texas and around the world. Wishing you and your families a day filled with peace, joy, reflection and community.
A lot of people who have never set foot in Texas and don't know the first goddamn thing about Texas sure seem to have a lot of opinions on who's electable in Texas.
This result is really annoying. Unless Eday is super crazy for Johnson (which… seems unlikely) then it’s over. Voters are rewarding Allred even after he’s repeatedly had horrible political instincts lately and Johnson has been a very good rep!
.@johnnygarciatx has a very solid, nearly 60-40 lead over Maureen Galindo in Bexar County EV for the Dem runoff for #TX35
National Dem groups likely breathing sigh of relief about these results after Galindo made headlines for antisemitic comments
