Institut Pasteur de Dakar designated by @WHO as a Regional Biomanufacturing Training Center for Africa

We are proud to announce that the World Health Organization has selected Institut Pasteur de Dakar as a Regional Training Center (RTC) for Biomanufacturing for the African Region, under the WHO Biomanufacturing Workforce Training Initiative.

This recognition is the result of a long and rigorous scientific selection process, including site visits conducted by WHO experts.

It also reflects IPD’s commitment to strengthening African capacities in biomanufacturing, vaccine innovation, and skills development in support of the continent’s health sovereignty.

Through its Regional Training Hub (RTH) initiative based in Diamniadio, Senegal, IPD will contribute to training a new generation of African experts capable of supporting the development and production of vaccines and other health products across Africa.

This selection marks an important milestone in our collective ambition to build a sustainable, resilient, and autonomous African biomanufacturing ecosystem.

Successful completion of the Africa CDC – AMRH vaccine biomanufacturing training 🇸🇳
20 African professionals strengthened their skills in vaccine manufacturing and regulation with hands-on sessions on aseptic filling, decontamination, GMP, WHO regulatory standards.
