This is the Mediterranean route flagged in the Trump Iraq deals post a couple weeks ago, now with an actual counterparty. Basra Oil Co. is authorized to sign the MOU with Syria's oil ministry.

Same day, Iraq also cleared ConocoPhillips, alongside TI Capital and Novaterra, to begin assessing the Akkas field. That is ConocoPhillips's 2nd Iraq deal this month, after the Kirkuk stake.
