In class 5 @StJohnVianneySc we are looking at the environment & stewardship
We then looked at our own environment at SJV and took pictures of what they considered beautiful & part of Gods creation. We are lucky at SJV to have some beautiful areas - class5 did a great job 👏

Class 5 today @StJohnVianneySc went to @CronkshawFold farm and enjoyed blackberry picking. They learnt all about fruits in season, why it’s important for the environment & our 🌎 to eat more in season- love how the classroom at SJV can be an outdoor one !

In RE @StJohnVianneySc we looked at us being made in the image and likeness of God . I asked to class to create an image in their likeness & the class had to peer assess & use the dice to show their winner 🥇 it clear why this image got over 60% of the vote 🗳️ @SalfordDiocese
For independence & travel training @StJohnVianneySc class 6 visited Manchester. Together we worked out the zones , got the right number of tickets for the group & the number of stops we passed through @MrHealey1
Yesterday afternoon, Father Nicholas celebrated a beautiful Mass where we joined together in prayer with students and their families to welcome our new Year 7's to the wonderful Our Lady's community
Yesterday, Mrs Wilson's year 9 students enjoyed extracting DNA from kiwi fruits. They are learning all about what makes us unique in the 'All in the Genes' topic. Next up is variation and what makes us all different and why that is important for the survival of the species!
Yesterday lunchtime, we held an Enrichment Fayre for all the students to sign up to their choice of over 30 fantastic clubs on offer at Our Lady's - from book club to chess club, rollerskating to debate mate, photography to cooking or current affairs!

This weekend, thirty year 9 students went to Coniston Waterpark with Miss Smith, Mr Bell and Miss Watkins and had a fantastic time, enjoying a whole host of water based adventures!
