The Public Examinations (Prevention of Unfair Means) Act, enacted in 2024 and strengthened through the 2026 Amendment, reinforces the legal framework for preventing unfair means in public examinations conducted by specified public examination authorities.

With stronger investigation mechanisms, Special Fast Track Courts, time-bound trials and appeals, and enhanced penalties, the framework strengthens accountability and supports the conduct of fair, transparent and credible public examinations.
