In furtherance of my resolve to bring together all stakeholders to forge a common front to unite the country towards the onerous task of good governance and nation-building, I warmly received the Western Area Tribal Heads, our revered Paramount Chiefs and the United Council of Imams who called on @VP_Jalloh and I at the State House to congratulate us on our re-election for a second-term mandate.

These key stakeholders represent an integral part of our country as the custodians of our culture, traditions and religion. They also play an important role in fostering the priceless #peace that we have enjoyed as a nation.

We discussed ways of renewing our commitment to peace and #unity and also charged them to take our message of hope, unity and #progress to their respective communities.

I thanked them for contributing immensely towards establishing #SierraLeone as a beacon of hope and a model for peace and religious harmony in the world.

Today, I met with the Farmers Federation and Traders Union, as part of our efforts to swiftly commence with our flagship national development priority, namely the FEED SALONE Initiative.

This flagship initiative is geared to boost #agricultural productivity to ensure #foodsecurity and inclusive #economicgrowth in our nation.

Our farmers and traders will serve as the fulcrum for the seamless implementation of the FEED SALONE Initiative.

The consultative meeting was very productive and I look forward to their unwavering support towards the actualisation of this important flagship initiative to boost food production, reduce hunger and poverty, create jobs, increase export earnings, build resilience to ensure food security and spur inclusive economic growth in #SierraLeone.
