Our two-day annual CSO meeting has officially begun with speeches from Prof. Prempeh, WADEMOS Project Director, Ebenezer Asiedu of @ecowas_cedeao and @Bankole_Adeoye of the @_AfricanUnion. The keynote address was delivered by @cellasey, a democracy champion on the continent.
"Africans want governments that are democratic and accountable, but many governments are still not delivering the quality and extent of democracy that their people want," said Afrobarometer Board Chair @gyimahboadi yesterday as he shared latest survey findings with representatives of @USIP, the U.S State Department and NGOs in Washington.

In all of this, some MIGHT be winning but our democracy is not maturing.
Democracy is about dialogue, negotiations and compromises.
We can start with a healthy dialogue for the sake of the peace and growth of our country.
Country before our personal wins. Nation above ego!
